Bountiful Baskets Update

A note from site coordinator Michelle:

If you signed up to participate in tomorrow's Bountiful Basket offering in Maple Valley there are a few last minute things you need to know. Since it is our first week here, though, please be patient with us as we're seeing what will work best for us in this community. Please note the following changes:

1) LOCATION: The location will NOT be the private residence listed on your confirmation. The temporary location for tomorrow, 10-16-10, is Lake Wilderness Park, located at 25040 224th Ave. SE, Maple Valley, WA 98038. Directions are included at the bottom of this post. We'll be there, rain or shine!

2) TIME: Pick-up time is 8:00-8:20 am. To volunteer, please arrive at 7am. I had spoken to a few of you who needed a later pick-up time. Since the location is no longer at my home, I don't have the same flexibility as I did before. If you cannot come within the pick-up window, please give your confirmation number to a friend and arrange for her to pick up your basket.

Also, please remember that you'll need to BYOB (bring your own bags), for carrying home your produce.

Directions:

From the south, take Hwy. 18 east to the Maple Valley exit. Turn right at the light on SE 232nd and right again onto the Maple Valley Hwy (SR 169). At Witte Road turn right. Follow Witte Road to SE 248th Street and turn left. Follow the sharp curve (you will pass the first park entrance) and continue straight until you see the park entrance on your left.

From I-405, take the Maple Valley Hwy. (SR 169) exit and drive south. Follow the Maple Valley Hwy. approx. Go 11 miles to Witte Road and turn right. Follow Witte Road to SE 248th Street and turn left. Follow the sharp curve (you will pass the first park entrance) and continue straight until you see the park entrance on your left.
