Can This Be Real?

This was the scene in my kitchen today. I printed and cut,
sorted and stacked,
configured and totaled,

put in envelopes and labeled...

all to get ready to get this:

It took me 2 hours in the store tonight and after 9 transactions,

Total before coupons, doubles and promo catalinas: $413.32

Total after: $33.21

How did you print so many internet coupons when there is a limit of 2 per item? How many doubles did you use? At what store did you shop that allowed 9 separate transactions? Is "night" the best time to shop for "couponers"?

There are many sights that have the cheerios and fruit snacks and BIC coupons. I printed two at each with my two computers and then several days later they would reset and I would print more. I think Safeway.com has them, coupons.com, albertsons.com, bettycrocker.com, and afullcup.com. I ordered more cheerios and ALL coupons online and when the unlimited Ragu coupon was available, I printed lots of those. I just sort of accumulated by searching various websites.

The Auburn, Washington Albertson's on Auburn Way is BY FAR my favorite store. They are happy to let you do multiple transactions in a row, although I try to be courtious of others and split them into fewer transactions in a row.

I did this on Tuesday so there were 5 available doublers so that helped. Now there are only 2 available so the deals aren't as good. The Auburn Albies also ALWAYS has a stack of doublers out on the customer service counter so that is where I get my multiples.

One of the managers there, Jason, is happy to order as many multiples of an item as I want. That is how I can assure my mass quantities.

I have just learned by experience what stores are most helpful and which are not. I usually shop at night because that is when my husband can watch the kids so I can concentrate and it tends to be less busy!

Thanks for your comments.

If you mean "one per family per shopping trip" when you say limited use, then I have never had a problem with that meaning one per transaction. They actually smile at me when I come and can't wait to see how much I save. One guy has even tried to guess which transaction will be the least before he rings them up. At this particular store, they are happy to work with you.

WOW WOW WOW!!!! I just ran across your site searching for couponing blogs and my jaw literally dropped when I saw how much you were able to purchase for only $33!!! You are amazing! I am trying to figure out this whole couponing and catalinas and doubling business but I get so confused and overwhelmed. Would you ever be willing to teach how to find and use coupons in person or allow someone to come along on a shopping trip and see how it's done?
